  1. Last night kicked off the Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Seminar Series for 2009. Our first seminars were presented on the topic of Migration and Cultural Diversity.

A big thank you to our four presenters, Andrew Chodkiewicz, Maria Chisari, Andrew Jakubowicz & Mara Moustafine. These four presented their current research projects. Each of the three seminars tackled the concepts of Migration and Cultural Diversity and what Multiculturalism means from different angles.

The notes and PowerPoint presentations will be available here very soon and you are encouraged to add comments and feedback. Contact details so that you can get in touch with any of our presenters will also be made available.

Many thanks also to all who attended. Your participation made for an enjoyable evening and fuelled an invigorating and constructive dialogue on these complex and important issues.

We are looking forward to future seminars where we will tackle other topics at the heart of Civil Societies as well as revisit Migration and Cultural Diversity later in the year.

We look forward to seeing you at future seminars!
