Indigeneity and Power

Indigenous civil societies both express sovereignty and cosmopolitanism, and produce new social formations and political communities. Research in this area investigates how indigenous peoples are defined and self-defined within wider power relations. A key focus is on power relations between indigenous and non-indigenous civil societies.
